Partnership Improvement and Outcomes Division

Supporting Better National Outcomes

JIT is part of the Partnership Improvement and Outcomes Division within the Scottish Government's Health Directorates.

The Division was created in April 2007 so that four groups within the Primary and Community Care Directorate that have complementary activities and work themes could work more closely together to achieve common goals.

The overarching focus of the four groups within the Division is to enhance the range and quality of community care services in Scotland through a focus on better partnership working across health, housing and social care. You can find out more about JIT's work on our website. You can find out more about the other three groups that make up the Division by linking to their websites, provided below:

There are two key functions for the new Division:

  1. Performance measurement and management
  2. Performance support and improvement

Both functions require strong and effective partnership working across agencies. JIT's focus continues to be on the performance support and improvement functions, whilst recognising how crucial performance measurement and management are to sustainable improvement. Across the Division, we're expecting to add value to our work with partnerships through the improved coherence and clarity that the wider internal structure supports.
