The Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP) provides information on Telecare as part of its Telecare LIN, which is the national network supporting local service redesign through the application of Telecare and telehealth to aid the delivery of housing, health, social care and support services for older and vulnerable people. CAALYX: A new generation of location-based services in healthcare

A recent article in the International Journal of Health Geographics introducing CAALYX - Complete Ambient Assisted Living Experience, an EU funded project that aims at increasing older people's autonomy and self confidence by developing a wearable light device capable of measuring specific vital signs of the elderly, detecting falls and location, and communicating automatically in real time with the care provider in case of an emergency can be found here.

Assistive Technology Staffordshire (Cannock) - Case Study

The focus of this case study is on the Just Checking system set up in the Cannock area in 2006 as a tool to support the assessment process and to monitor people with dementia who live in the community (dispersed or supported housing), providing a daily chart of activity via the internet.
