JIT’s recent remote learning event on integration of health and social care took place at 11 videoconference sites across Scotland, from Shetland to the Borders. This was run in partnership with NES/RRHEAL, SSSC and The Alliance.
The event aimed to capture key messages from the major conference in Edinburgh ‘Integrating for Better Outcomes’, in June this year. Presentations from that day were broadcast to the VC sites, as well as additional speakers. Facilitated workshops ensured that delegate’s voices were heard. The event analysis shows that delegates appreciated the opportunity to engage in the integration debate. Another intended outcome of the day was to consider the videoconferencing approach to learning events going forward.
Delegates enjoyed linking with colleages across Scotland and given that this was JIT’s first remote event, our fears re potential banana skins relating to technology proved to be just that. It is hoped that we can continue to use this medium in the future.
