Flowchart to support the use of evidence in commissioning services for individuals with learning disabilities

This online toolkit / flowchart has been designed to help commissioners use existing evidence and good practice when developing and evaluating individual service plans for people with learning disabilities.

All of the steps need to be completed, and you should identify timescales and lead people for each step. Each step contains a number of key questions that you need to answer, and most of these questions are supported by links to relevant information and resources that we think may help you.

This online resource should be used in conjunction with the publication "Improving Outcomes – Guidelines to support the use of evidence in commissioning services for individuals with learning disabilities [260Kb]" which is available as a dynamic pdf.

We have also provided files for you to download so that you can prepare a timing plan before you get started, and record answers to each of the questions as you work your way through the online flowchart steps. You can access all of these files on the right hand side of this page.
