Implementing Criteria Led Discharge in Scotland: March 2015
Delays in discharge are a key blockage identified within the hospital system. These delays impact on patient safety and quality of care, with patients’ length of stay extended due to delays in decision-making and a ‘wait culture’ in place across the system. Nationally, we are promoting the use of criteria led discharge to reduce these delays.
A national event was hosted on the 18 March to bring together colleagues from across Scotland to share and develop the knowledge and skills needed to successfully implement criteria led discharge. Resources from the event available below.
