Making the Right Call for a Fall

This resource provides practical guidance and case study examples to help health and social care professionals, planners and managers. It aims to improve the experience and outcomes for older people who present to the Scottish Ambulance Service following a fall or with a flare up of their long term conditions on a background of general frailty.

It has been produced by the Joint Improvement Team (JIT), the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) and the National Falls Programme Manager in collaboration with three Partnerships that have been developing and testing redesigned Pathways for older people who fall. It draws on the experience and expertise of Scottish Ambulance Service practitioners, Intermediate Care Services and Community Health Partnership Falls Leads.
