Work Areas

We recognise that all health and social care partnerships face significant challenges as they strive to continually improve services. We can provide additional capacity and help find solutions to specific challenges and we use the outcomes from our work to share information more widely.

We support partnerships directly by working closely with local managers and staff. Collaborative arrangements and a balanced focus on national priorities and local needs help us to understand the best approach for particular local circumstances. We're here to help and be supportive.

We have four main work areas that are inter-connected:

  • Intensive Support Programme: that involves working collaboratively with a small number of partnerships for a fixed period on key service delivery issues identified by the partnership
  • Action Areas: that relate to key service development themes that will benefit a number of partnerships across Scotland
  • Information and Advice: available to all partnerships by contacting us directly about our action areas and how they affect you locally, or any other issue relating to better joint working and service delivery in health and social care
  • Shared Learning: we encourage knowledge and information sharing and we help to support this via our website, publications and events.
