Partnerships

There are 14 health boards and 32 local authorities in Scotland. These health boards and local authorities have joint working arrangements in place to support better delivery of services to the people who use them.

This section of our website provides contact information about the health and social care partnerships in your area and, over time, we'll add more information so that you can see what is happening in your area in terms of effective partnership working.

Most partnerships comprise one local authority working with the health board for that area. Many partnerships also work closely with other partnerships in their health board area – arrangements are made locally to best suit local needs.

The interactive map on this page is arranged by health board area. If you click on a particular area on the map, you will move to a page that contains contact details for the partnerships in that health board area. Alternatively, you can use the list of local authorities at the bottom of the page, where clicking a name will show you what partnership that council is part of.
