Service Development Themes
When JIT was first established, it was envisaged that the focus of our work would be providing intensive support to those partnerships that requested our assistance. Whilst our Partnership Support Programme remains very much a key focus of our work, our remit has widened to include key service development themes.
What do we mean by "service development themes"?
These are areas that were identified during our informal meetings with partnerships during 2005 as opportunities to make positive progress on key issues facing partnerships, and to support continuous improvement. Because the themes were common to many partnerships, we saw that there was an opportunity to establish projects that would produce results that we could share widely with partnerships, hence maximising the value to partnerships of our involvement.
An important feature of this area of our work is the collaborative approach to help develop good practice and innovative solutions that could form the basis for wider strategic development. This means that we're working with other lead agencies and a small number of partnerships to undertake practical research that will lead to positive service developments. Our collective goal is to support sustainable practice developments and improvements.
